COVID-19 Updates

COVID-19 has prevented an in-person NewCAJE conference for three years. While we are extremely excited to be back in-person, the reality of COVID-19 has not disappeared.

VIRTUAL OPTION

For those who don’t feel comfortable traveling, or being in groups at this point, we are working on creating a virtual/hybrid option. Please stay tuned while we determine what will be available and how to register.

COVID-19 POLICY FOR NEWCAJE14
(as of March 15, 2023)

As the NewCAJE family, we are all excited to come together in-person after three years online. However, there are still concerns about the COVID-19 virus, especially because we come from many states and countries, and so we have set some policy to help protect each other. These policies may be updated at any time, according to the COVID risk at the time of the conference.

1. Per the policy of Montclair State University, all registrants agree to upload their vaccine information so that it can be verified. No unvaccinated individuals will be allowed. More information on Montclair State’s system will be available soon.
2. Testing: We strongly recommend participants take a screening test before traveling to NewCAJE, because if you get sick upon arrival, you will have to leave the conference.
3. Travel: Although most airlines and transportation companies no longer require it, we strongly encourage mask wearing on airplanes, in crowded transport hubs, and any public transport that you use to travel to NewCAJE14.
4. Travel: Please consider whether trip insurance to pay for any expenses a COVID diagnosis would involve would be a useful.
5. At the Conference: There will be options to eat outside or inside, on individual preference.
6.  At the Conference: Masking is preferred and encouraged, but not required when indoors and not eating. Masking highly recommended for evening programs, especially where there is singing, a known transmission method. Please bring a supply of your favorite mask.
7. Participants are encouraged to stay home if they feel ill, and to seek immediate medical attention if they begin to experience any symptoms.

As the situation continues to change, we will send our updated, final COVID policy shortly before the conference begins. All participants agree to abide by that policy.

Early bird registration closes on April 25, and regular registration closes on June 29. Click here to register now and reserve your spot!

Please note that you can cancel at any time before June 29 for a full refund. After June 29th, refunds will be offered at 50%. After July 6th, no refunds can be offered.

If you cannot attend due to COVID, we will refund your money excluding the deposit with a doctor’s note.
