Packing List

Please note that there is no dress code at NewCAJE. Many will be in casual clothes; others feel the need to dress more professionally. Participants may wear whatever  clothes they wish, but we ask that everyone be respectful of our pluralistic group.

Currently, we are expected to see high 80s in the day and a low of 70 at night in Baltimore, MD. June is part of Baltimore’s rainy season so pack accordingly.  

  1. Umbrella, hat and/or rain coat.
  2. Comfortable, casual/semi-casual clothing.
  3. Pajamas, light sweater/jacket, hat.
  4. A bathrobe or slippers.
  5. Comfortable shoes, shower shoes.
  6. Hangers–They are typically not in the closets.
  7. A portable iron.
  8. Personal toiletries, including toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.
  9. Residents will receive a pillow, blanket, towel, sheets, and pillowcases.
  10. Bath towel.
  11. Phone, laptop, camera, chargers.
  12. Pens, pencils, notebooks, etc.
  13. Kippah, tallit, and tefillin. 
  14. Checkbook, credit cards, or cash for the Exhibit area.
  15. Business cards.
  16. Coffee mugs and water bottles
  17. Sweater for the daytime (classrooms are air-conditioned)
  18. Alarm (please note there is no “wake-up” service)
  19. Comfortable shoes or sneakers
  20. Siddur, Tanach
  21. Cell phone with charger
  22. Camera
  23. Flash Drives (so presenters can give you their presentations!)
